Regular Features
Currently, I have four weekly features running, subject to change whenever I’m unavailable:
- Names of the Week
My longest running feature, which I try my hardest to post at the weekend (usually Sunday), unless I don’t have time. It focuses on a male name and a female name, which are usually related in some way, but not always.
- Sibset of the Week.
Currently speaking, this appears on Monday, but I sometimes switch it around with other features to keep everyone on their toes. This post looks at a notable sibset, and I do try my hardest to do a British family, but sometimes I come across ones not from this fair isle that I just want to post about.
- Name Spot of the Week.
I post this at the end of the working week. It’s a collection of interesting names I’ve seen over the week which can’t extend to their own fully fledged post. I also try to point you in the direction of a blog or two who’ve looked at something interesting over the past week – with the focus on the fledgling blogs who need a little more buzz about them.
- Weekend Post.
Weekends are for relaxing, so I created the weekend post, meaning I only post twice at the weekend. The weekend post usually focuses on a naming issue I’ve been thinking about a lot during the week. But I often simply use it to write about other stuff that’s on my mind.
