Where to Go

I quote England&Wales data all the time, but I’ve never really given a link to the webpage where it was first published. Time to change that. Again, this is a work in progress, so I’ll likely provide links to name data from other countries in the future, but for now, let’s focus on those closest to [my] home:

England&Wales

Provided collectively by the Office of National Statistics. The data is available to download as a file individually for each year from 1996, with the option to also download the historical data which covers 1904; 1914; 1924; 1934; 1944; 1954; 1964; 1974; 1984; and 1994 Top 100 for both boys and girls.

It’s also worth noting that in the file one can view the Top 100 for England and Wales separately, should you wish, but the list of all the names used for 3 or more babies is only provided collectively.
